Reducing Agents
Sulfur dyes are insoluble in water. The dye molecules need to be solubilized to its leuco form by addition of a reducing agent. Dyeing of cellulose substrate occurs in leuco form. Subsequent oxidation will make it water insoluble again giving it the high wash fastness. Swisul Black Liquid dyes would require controlled amount of reducing agent.
